Cactus Erectus was created after visiting Tucson, AZ. The humorous idea came to me almost immediately after noticing the saguaro cactus's "unique" shape. I had no idea they grew so tall and had so many "extremities." I painted this with watercolor, pen, ink, and oil pastel for accents on an acid-free illustration board. A fun-looking image with a Southwest twist!
